Since April 2018, EU car manufacturers must equip vehicles with eCall, an automated emergency system that transmits critical data (MSD) to public safety centers after a serious accident. Next Generation eCall uses 4G/5G for faster, IP-based communication, replacing older networks. It can also connect via non-terrestrial networks in remote areas. Using GNSS satellites, vehicle location, accident time, and details are transmitted. Download this poster for insights on eCall technology, regulations, and testing solutions.
