Micro-power operation and rail-to-rail input are key features of the INA321 CMOS instrumentation amplifier from the company's Burr-Brown product line.The function is suited for a variety of cost-sensitive, high-volume consumer, communications, computer and automotive applications, as well as industrial process control and medical equipment. The amplifiers extract signals from interfering voltages to maintain accuracy in electrically noisy environments.
Operating on just 40µA of quiescent current, the device provides low-power amplification. The chip can be shutdown to less than 1µA for optimal performance in battery-operated systems. And because it quickly returns to normal operation within nanoseconds, it has a built-in power management function. Packaged in an MSOP-8, the device is priced from $1.05 each/1,000.
