Extending the nanoDAC d/a converter family, eight dual and quad devices consume 30% less board space than comparable devices. The octet includes what is called the industry’s first 16-bit quad d/a converter, the AD5664R in a 3 mm x 3 mm, 10-lead LFCSP. Integrating four buffered 16-bit converters and a 1.25V, 5-ppm/°C reference, the device consumes 5 mW at 5V. The other seven—the quad AD5624, AD5624R, AD5644R, and AD5664, and the dual AD5643R, AD5663 and AD5663R—offer 12- to 16-bit resolution, with and without on-chip references.
