Vying for assignments in cable modems, the C5001 and C5003 surface-mount, low-pass filters in IC-grade packages boast of low insertion loss and high stop-band attenuation. The C5001 is earmarked for domestic applications that operate over a bandwidth of 1 MHz to 50 MHz.
For international applications, the C5003 takes over, operating from 1 MHz to 80 MHz. Both devices have a low pass-band insertion loss of less than 1 dB and a stop-band attenuation of greater than 15 dB. Available in either tube or tape-and-reel packaging, the filters cost $1.42 each/100,000. Engineering samples are also available.
