Operating on a supply voltage from 2.7V to 5V, the TS7211 BiCMOS comparator consumes just 6 µA of current and provides rail-to-rail inputs and a push-pull output. The device comes in a small SOT23-5L package and is pin compatible with a variety of other devices on the market. In addition to low-current consumption, the device features a response time of 500 ns while operating at 5V, which is said to achieve a high power ratio. Other features include a differential input voltage of ±0.3 Vcc, maximum input current of ±5 mA, maximum output current of ±30 mA, and a maximum power dissipation of 500 mW. Typical applications include notebook computers, PDAs and PCMCIA cards. Price is $0.38 each/1,000. STMICROELECTRONICS INC., Lexington, MA. (781) 861-2650.
