Both the AMPS/cellular and PCS frequency bands are covered by a family of indium-gallium-phosphide (InGaP) power amplifier modules. The AWT6310 and AWT6314 amplifiers have independent RF paths to ensure optimal performance in both frequency bands. The devices measure just 3 mm x 5 mm x 1 mm high. They are fully compliant with CDMA 1xRTT and CDMA 1xEV-DO standards. In both frequency bands, efficiency is rated at 39%, quiescent current is 50 mA and leakage current is 1 µA. They produce a gain of 27.5 dB in the cellular band and 26.5 dB in the PCS band. Adjacent-channel power is –50 dBc in both bands for high quality voice and data wireless connections. A common VMODE line simplifies the control interface and supports single-mode operation up to full antenna power. Price for both types is $2.50 each/10,000. ANADIGICS INC., Warren, NJ.
