The MaxPro 4 voice compression transcoder offers state-of-the-art, 4:1 voice compression that enables telecommunications carriers to increase network voice and fax transmission capacity using existing cellular, WAN, LAN, private communications, wireless local loop or microwave infrastructures. The product has several built-in features, including embedded echo cancellation and complete in-band signaling support, which eliminate the need to purchase external devices, and its voice channels are said to provide superior sound. In addition, its open architecture incorporates up to 8 clear, 64-kb channels to effectively handle high-bandwidth demand without sacrificing any of the 120 compressed, toll-quality voice channels.
