Last year, Nokia developed the Wibree ultra-low-power (ULP) personal-area networking (PAN) technology for very small and low-power applications. Bluetooth, needing a spec to cover such ULP technology, will incorporate Wibree for more widespread PAN connectivity.

This not-so-little jewel has 2072 pages and weighs 11 lb. (Yes, I actually weighed it.) My initial reaction was that I don't have much to do with broadcast standards or technology. But after I read the book, I found it was a fabulous reference on electronics, wireless, and communications in general.
