Said to be ideal for antenna and band-switching applications in cordless and digital cellular phones, PCS, wireless LAN, and other L&S-band receivers, the UPG158TB SPDT GaAs switch replaces discrete pin-diode switching solutions with a single RFIC. Operating from 300 MHz to 2.5 GHz, the device offers an insertion loss of 0.3 dB typical at 1 GHz. Linearity switching is rated at P1dB = +27 dBm.
High linearity allows low-insertion loss performance at higher transmit powers, while the lower insertion loss helps improve the tansmit efficiency and permits a lower front-end noise figure. Available on tape-and-reel, the switch costs $0.64 each/1000.
