New ultra-compact keyfob-style rf transmitters are said to be ideally suited to a wide range of OEM remote control and command applications. Sporting a futuristically-styled package, the devices contain a highly accurate SAW-based transmitter and line planar antenna. It is said that these features combine to deliver outstanding range performance and reliability. The fobs generate a secure encoded transmission, which can be received and decoded using a variety of receivers, including the company's own LC or KH series RF modules. The units operate from a standard 3-V lithium cell and come in one- to five-button configurations. Multiple tranmitter frequencies are available and have been pre-certified by the FCC. Standard versions are priced at $9.25 in volume production quantities.
