the MAX9947 AISG-compliant transceiver integrates a transmitter, receiver, and active filters into a 3 mm x 3 mm TQFN package
Viable for base stations and tower equipment, the MAX9947 AISG-compliant transceiver integrates a transmitter, receiver, and active filters into a 3 mm x 3 mm TQFN package. The transceiver portion provides an auto-direction output to facilitate RS-485 bus arbitration in tower-mounted equipment without requiring a microcontroller and includes an OOK modulator, an AISG-compliant bandpass, and an output amplifier. The receiver includes a bandpass filter that operates around the 2.176-MHz center frequency with a narrow 200-kHz bandwidth. It also includes an OOK demodulator and a comparator. Other features include an input dynamic range from -15 dBm to +5 dBm in 50?, resistor-adjustable output power from +7 dBm to +12 dBm, and an operating voltage from 3V to 5.5V. Available in a 16-pin TQFN measuring 3 mm x 3 mm, price starts at $4.25 each/1000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
