Compact Automotive-Qualified Power MOSFET Delivers 3.3-mΩ RDS(ON)
June 20, 2014
Automotive applications requiring compact size and high current, such as pump motor control and automotive body control, may consider International Rectifier’s AUIRFN8403 power MOSFET. The first in a new MOSFET family, the device leverages the company’s COOLiRFET 40-V trench technology, enabling 3.3-mΩ on-state resistance (RDS(ON)) and 95-A current-carrying capability. Its 5- by 6-mm PQFN package features extended lead with end-lead plating to help ensure solderability and an easy-to-inspect solder joint. The MOSFET is qualified to AEC-Q101 standards, which requires that there is no more than a 20% change in RDS(ON) after 1000 temperature cycles of testing.
