DTV IF Packs Multiple Functions

In a 28-pin MLP measuring 5 mm x 5 mm, the ISG510067 IF amplifier for digital television (DTV) integrates two linear input AGC amplifiers with two IF video amplifiers. The device is said to reduce component counts and design complexity and is suitable for use in VSB tuners, VSB/QAM tuner NIMs (Network Interface Modules), integrated HDTV sets, and set-top boxes with multiple QAM tuners. It operates from a 3.3V supply with an operating power consumption of 100 mA. Typical specifications include operation from 20 MHz to 100 MHz, integrated 37 dB and 55 dB differential gain blocks, a total gain-control range in excess of 55 dB, and a two-tone IM3 of -60 dBc at 1 Vp-p.
