Providing secure machine-to-machine IP connectivity, the Secure iLAN and Secure iWiFi external device servers allow legacy devices with an RS-232/-485 port to immediately communicate over the Internet via LAN or Wireless LAN, respectively. The servers integrate a web browser that allows access to existing devices, which can now communicate via e-mail, file transfers, and other Internet protocols. Both servers employ the company’s CO2128 Internet controller chip and feature an integrated web server, a serial interface, hardware-based SSL-standard encryption, firewall functionality, a suite of Internet protocols and applications (TCP/UDP, SMTP/POP3, MIME, HTTP, WAP, FTP, and TELNET), and remote configuration, management, and firmware upgrades. Prices for Secure iLAN and Secure iWiFi start at $75 and $85, respectively. CONNECT ONE SEMICONDUCTORS INC., San Jose, CA. (408) 572-5675.
