Compact SBC Offers Flexible I/O For High Data Processing

Utilizing 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, low power SBC incorporates flexible I/O for demanding graphics environments.

The SC27, a low power SBC from MEN Micro, incorporates flexible I/O for demanding graphics environments. Utilizing an Intel Atom processor running at 1.6 GHz, it is compact, powerful and able to withstand harsh environments. EN 50155 certified for railway operation, the SBC is suitable for LCD TFT displays with screens from 7” to 15” and a maximum resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, and reliably operates in compact spaces where conditions are rugged, like in mass transportation driver consoles and in-seat displays, or critical industrial controls. The fanless SBC dissipates up to 7 W operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, and includes up to 2 GB of DDR2 SDRAM memory with an 800 MHz bus frequency, 16 Mbits of boot Flash, an mSATA slot with transfer rates of up to 3 Gbit/s and a microSD slot via USB. Wireless communication can be provided via the PCI Express Mini Card and the microSIM card slot. Standard I/O includes an M12 connector, two USB ports, a GPS interface and an RS232 or RS422/485 interface. The SC27 SBC supports Windows and Linux, and is priced at $1,042.
