Configurability is the backbone of the MH70I, the first arrival in a family of modular industrial PCs from MEN Micro. The PC merges scalable high-performance computing and graphics function plus system management with pre-installed software support for Windows Embedded Standard 7. The combination of cards drive its modularity: two CompactPCI peripheral slots, two CompactPCI Serial peripheral slots, two PCI slots, and two PCI Express slots (a total of up to nine configurable slots). Two additional PSU slots support ac, dc, and UPS. Thanks to the unit’s half 19-in. rack size, two systems can be placed on one rack side by side. Standard configuration of the PC incorporates the company’s F22P CompactPCI PlusIO single-board computer using an Intel Core i7 or Celeron processor with VGA interface, two USB ports, and two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces on the front. There’s up to four SATA disks for RAID. Memory includes up to 16 Gbytes of DDR3 DRAM with ECC. Operating temperature ranges from 0 to 50°C.
