FMS 2024 Promotes the Latest in Memory and Storage Tech

Here’s a look at some of the innovative memory and storage standouts at this year’s “the Future of Memory and Storage” conference, formerly the Flash Memory Summit.

Yeestor Storage Solutions

Yeestor displayed its latest 3D NAND flash, CXL AI, and DRAM solutions aimed at the industrial market. These include the company’s SiliconGo X-30m2 series, X-30 series, and X-30m series of SSDs. The X-30m2 series comes in an M.2 format with a SATA III interface and is capable of handling 6.0 Gb/s of throughput. This series tops out at 480 GB of storage and features low power consumption, impact vibration resistance, and protection against electromagnetic interference.

The X-30 series, aimed at the industrial market, comes in a 2.5-in. SSD format and provides protection for a variety of harsh environments. Featuring a SATA III interface, the devices can provide 6.0 Gb/s of throughput with storage capacities up to 1 Tb.

Yeestor’s X-30m series, also geared for industrial use, integrate a garbage collection algorithm (GC), bad block management, and dynamic wear leveling. This series comes in a mSATA format with a SATA III interface capable of handling 6.0 Gb/s of throughput. The X-30m tops out at 1 Tb of storage capacity as well, and it has an onboard battery that protects the board in case of power loss, preserving the data for recovery.

FMS used to be known as the “Flash Memory Summit,” a fitting name during a time when flash memory was all the rage until new technologies such as UFS, NVMe, and CXL became more popular.

Companies showcasing their products included Samsung, Micron, SK Hynix, Viking Technology, and Western Digital, among many others. Their innovations highlight the industry’s commitment to making advances in performance, reliability, and efficiency, pushing the boundaries of the latest tech that will lay the groundwork for the next generation of AI and data-centric applications. As those technologies continue to grow, they will play a key part in the future of computing.
