Automotive Experience of the Future

Feb. 17, 2023
Analog Devices' Yin Wu, Director of Product Line Management, shows off the company's futuristic cabin display technology.

This video is part of our CES 2023 coverage and in the TechXchange: Advanced Display Technology.

In-cabin automotive displays are moving toward larger and more flexible options. While we're not there yet, Analog Devices had some examples to show off. I talked with Yin Wu, Director of Product Line Management, about what's possible (see video above). The large curved display was used to demonstrate other ADI technology. For instance, its eye and face driver tracking system enables the system to make sure the driver is focusing on the road ahead (Fig. 1)

The wireless battery-management system(wBMS) wasn't as visually impressive as the cabin display technology, but it's likely to show up sooner in many electric vehicles because of its many advantages, including reducing weight and cabling costs (Fig. 2)
