The EN2300 family of fully integrated 12V dc-dc converters, implemented in Enpirion's power MOSFET technology, focuses on miniaturizing dc-dc power systems in applications such as telecommunication, enterprise, industrial, embedded computing, and storage systems. The devices, which are claimed to have double the power density of alternative solutions, capitalize on the company’s PowerSoC technology, which integrates the controller, power MOSFETs, high frequency input capacitors, compensation network and inductor. Supporting an input voltage range of 4.5 to 14V and an output voltage range of 0.6 to 5V, the devices also achieve up to 95 percent efficiency with a flattened efficiency profile from 10% to 100% load, permitting designers to manage power over the entire operating range. Fully validated and proven PCB layout and design files enable customers nearly 100 percent first-pass reported success. The power ICs are available direct now, with the 4 A EN2340QI at $3.56, the 6 A EN2360QI at $4.41, the 9 A EN2390QI at $6.60 and the 15 A EN23F0QI at $9.00 each/1,000.
