The MAX8737 dual, linear-regulator controller drives external n-channel MOSFETs to generate two independent low-voltage supplies. The regulator delivers output voltages from 0.5V to 2.5V, and the external MOSFETs allow scalable current designs with 1% regulated loads up to 5A. Its linear regulator features an adjustable soft-start function that generates a delayed power-good signal that indicates when the chip is in regulation. Available in a 16-pin, 4 mm x 4 mm TQFN package, pricing starts at $1.29 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
