Acopian Power Supplies announced that the 1U Switching Regulated 720W AC-DC Power Supply family is now RoHS Compliant and certified to UL Safety Standards UL 60950 (Information Technology Equipment), and UL 508 (Industrial Control Equipment). It also now conforms to all of the legal requirements to achieve CE marking. Shipped standard with power factor correction and universal input, the power supplies feature single output voltages from 1V-135V, wide-adjust output voltages from 0V-5V to 0V-135V and current capabilities up to 70A. They offer 720W of output power and are available with an optional auxiliary output (to 180 watts). The power supplies may be ordered online and are provided in either rack or benchtop configurations.
Featuring high power density, low ripple and a user-friendly front panel, Acopian's programmable power supplies are suitable for use in a broad range of ATE, OEM and laboratory applications. They are commonly employed in electronic component testing, semiconductor burn-in, test and measurement, RF Amplifiers, LED/laser testing, as well as a variety of electromagnetic and electromechanical applications.
The Acopian power supplies accommodate the universal AC input voltage of 95 to 265VAC, 49-420 Hz, single phase. They feature active power factor correction (PFC) of 0.99 typical at 115VAC, 60 Hz and full load to ensure operation in challenging AC environments and compliance with EN61000-3-2.
An intuitive front panel supports reliable linear controls for precise adjustment, and optional digital LED voltage and current meters. Options include voltage and current monitor outputs, provisions for N+1 redundancy, paralleling for higher current, as well as Ethernet, USB, RS232 or RS485 digital interfaces. Pluggable connectors are provided to facilitate quick and easy wiring of control and input leads.
All models within Acopian's 1U 720W AC-DC power supply family incorporate active power factor correction (PFC), universal input, constant current and constant voltage modes, and built-in over voltage protection (OVP). Additional standard features include "soft start" and "no load" operation, short circuit and overload protection, thermal protection, internal EMI filtering, RFI shielding, and remote sensing.
