Saelig Company, Inc. announced availability of Aim-TTi's MX180T, a 375W precision laboratory power supply offering three full performance outputs each, with multiple ranges.  Outputs One and Two can provide up to 180W in three ranges (60V/3A, 30V/6A, 15V/10A), with four further ranges available on output One, with output Two disabled, to provide up to 360W from a single output (120V/3A, 60V/6A, 15V/20A). Output Three has two ranges: 5.5V/3A and 12V/1.5A, both with adjustable constant voltage and constant current capability. All outputs are fully isolated and independent but voltage tracking can be selected to make two or even three outputs track a single voltage control.

The isolated tracking capability is useful for creating tracking voltages to different ground points, tracking voltages of opposite polarity, or series and parallel connection of outputs. A linear output regulation design insures low output noise and ripple. The MX180T has a large backlit graphic LCD that can show full settings for all three outputs simultaneously. Soft key controls provide a fast and intuitive user interface that includes other display modes and menu screens when required. Voltages and currents can be set by direct numeric entry or using the large spin wheel. Each output has switchable remote sensing and variable over-voltage and over-current protection trips. 200 output settings can be stored, arranged as 50 for each output and an additional 50 that store the settings for all three outputs simultaneously. Each output has its own DC On/Off control key and additional keys are provided that turn any combination of outputs on or off simultaneously. A unique feature of this power supply is its programmable on/off sequencing, with output enabled sequence delays settable from 10ms and 20s, without the need for external control. For secure operation, the front panel can be locked against accidental change using Lock Key. If additional security is required, locking can be set to require a four digit pass code.

The MX180T is housed in a compact case suitable for benchtop or rack mounting (half rack width by 3U height). A rack mounting kit for one or two units is available. Front input ventilation is used to enable horizontal and vertical stacking without compromising cooling. For applications that need remote control via USB, RS232, GPIB or LXI compliant LAN interfaces, the MX180TP version has all the same features as the MX180T plus the required interfaces and duplicate terminals on the rear panel. An IVI driver is supplied for applications needing LabView, LabWindows, and HP/Agilent VEE compatibility.
