Designed specifically for severe environments and 72 to 120 Vdc applications, the RCL series dc/dc converters are encased in strong, heavy-gauge steel cases with shock and vibration proof mounting throughout. Measured mean time between failures (MTBF) over a large sample in a severe, polluted railway environment is stated as less than 250,000 hours. The converters come in four basic types: single output of 12, 24 or 28 Vdc, triple 5 Vdc outputs, triple -5 Vdc outputs, and a 12 Vdc output at 150W. Overall efficiency for each type is claimed to be over 83%. All devices in the series measure 6.7" x 4.5" x 2.2". Other features include an input range from 60 to 200 Vdc, a regulation of 1%, overload protection stated to be 110% of the surge power, and isolation up to 2 kVacrms. Pricing is $150 each/1,000 units per year level.
