Battery packs are an integral element in every electric-vehicle and robotic system, and their optimum performance can be the difference between safe operation and catastrophic thermal runaway. Battery-management systems from Optimized Battery Systems perform complete control at the cell and pack level of critical parameters, enabling higher measurement accuracy as well as faster and more reliable internal communication between components.

The systems come with embedded software that has an application layer with a large variety of histograms. The histograms are configurable via an interface that doesn't affect functional-safety features. The software updates are encrypted to ensure safe configuration.
