Available immediately from MicroPower Direct, the MA600MHI series is a family of compact, 6 W DC/DC converters fully approved to both EN 60950 and EN 60601. They are specifically designed to meet the stringent isolation, reinforced insulation and low leakage requirements of medical grade equipment.
Twelve models operate from wide 2:1 inputs of 9 to 18, 18 to 36, and 36 to 75 VDC, providing single and dual outputs of 5, 12, ±12, or ±15 VDC. Standard features include an I/O isolation of 4,000 VAC rms, efficiency to 80%, 2 µA maximum leakage current, reinforced insulation and input filtering that meets EN 55022 class A. Other features include continuous short circuit protection, input under voltage shutdown and overload protection. All models are fully approved to EN 60950 and EN 60601 safety standards. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the MA600MHI series is greater than 700 khours.
All models of the MA600MHI family are packaged in a miniature 24-Pin DIP case. The pin-out is industry standard. All models are specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +75°C ambient with no derating or heat sinking required.
