The LZSa500-3 from Lambda is a harsh-environment 500-W power supply. The unit includes safety-agency approvals not commonly found on a standard off-the-shelf supply. Compliance with MIL-STD-810 standards for shock and vibration, and the ability to operate in explosive gas atmospheres make the LZSa500-3 ideal for use in a variety of applications.
The power supply is available with a nominal 24-V output, adjustable from 18 V to 29.4 V to accommodate non-standard system voltages, and can provide a full-load output current of 21 A from -40oC to +60oC, de-rating linearly to 60% load at 71oC ambient.
The LZSa500-3 accepts 85 Vac to 265 Vac, 47 Hz to 440 Hz, and has active PFC. It also complies with SEMI F47 standards for input droop, down to 100 Vac at full load.
Output ripple and noise is 75 mVpk-pk, and the unit is designed to provide 20-μs hold-up and ride-through to avoid nuisance tripping during electrical interruptions.
The unit comes in a 4.25-in. x 4.75-in. x 10.25-in. package and has been tested to MIL-STD-810E shock and vibration standards (method 516.4 proc. I, II, IV and VI; method 514.4, categories 1 and 9). The new Lambda power supply meets Class B EMI standards (radiated and conducted) and is safety-approved to UL60950-1, EN60950-1, UL508, FM3600, FM3611 and FM3810 specifications. It also meets IEEE C62.41 (6-kV/30-Ω, criteria A) and EN61000-4-X immunity standards.
The LZSa500-3 is available now. Pricing is $620 each in 50-unit quantities.
