High Accuracy, Low Power Digital Temperature Sensor

April 23, 2013
Measurement Specialties offers the highly accurate TSYS01 digital temperature sensor that integrates a sensing chip and 24-bit ADC (analog-to-digital) converter into one component.

The  highly accurate TSYS01 digital temperature sensor from Measurement Specialties integrates a sensing chip and 24-bit ADC (analog-to-digital) converter into one component. Drawing less than 12.5 µA in a compact QFN16 surface mount package, the fully-calibrated TSYS01 is easily incorporated into a variety of industrial control, HVAC/R and heating/cooling systems. The 4 mm x 4 mm sensor features a wide operating range of -40°C to +125°C, making it a competitively-priced replacement for thermistors and NTCs (negative temperature coefficients).

Delivering reliable, precise operation, the TSYS01 is factory-calibrated to provide an exceptionally high accuracy of ±0.1°C as well as high measurement resolution. Custom calibration is also available to meet specific application needs.

The selectable digital output of either I2C or SPI (serial peripheral interface) enables this versatile temperature sensor to interface with a microcontroller that calculates temperature based on the ADC values and calibration parameters.

Pricing for a TSYS01 is 2 Euros per unit in quantities of 10K to 50K. Delivery time is dependent upon quantity ordered.
