Clock Oscillator Has Small Size

Jan. 29, 2014
Raltron Electronics Corp. has released a new clock oscillator , Model CO2016, measuring 2.0 x 1.6 x 0.65 mm, further increasing Raltron's effort to address the worlds' increasing demand for ever smaller components.

The Model CO2016 clock oscillator from Raltron Electronics Corp. measures only 2.0 x 1.6 x 0.65 mm.  The oscillator fills the need for a ultra-small miniature package essential in high density PCB's; has low voltage supply need of 1.8 or 2.5 Vdc and a built-in enable/disable function; making the unit ideal for a myriad of applications such as: Microprocessor and DSP clocks, Alarms, High density applications, Wireless applications, Embedded computing devices, Personal digital devices, Portable medical devices, Cameras, Storage and Utility monitoring.

The CO2016 clock oscillator small size of 2.0 x l.6 x 0.65 mm, covers approximately 40% less surface area than the most popular currently available clock oscillators.  It has a frequency stability of  25, 30, 50, and 100 ppm.  The CO2016 has an operating temperature range of -10 °C to +70 °C and it is available in 3 values of power supply voltages:  1.8 V±5%, 2.5 V±5% and 3.3 V±5%.  The output is CMOS and the oscillator can drive a load of 15 pF.

Sample availability is at 4 weeks turnaround with quantities currently quoted at $0.80 each in lots of 1k pieces with a 6 - 8 week delivery ARO.
