Check out our PCIM 2022 coverage.

onsemi is already leveraging its acquisition of GT Advanced Technologies to produce silicon-carbide (SiC) devices, and at PCIM 2022, a representative walked us through the company's current manufacturing process. SiC power switching devices significantly improve system efficiency in electric vehicles (EVs), EV charging, and energy infrastructure.

Combining onsemi’s manufacturing capabilities with GTAT’s technical expertise has resulted in accelerated SiC development. Moreover, it positions onsemi to better serve and assure customers of supply of critical components as well as to further commercialize intelligent power technologies.
