Xcerra embraces PCB and semiconductor test entities

May 30, 2014. LTX-Credence, Multitest, Everett Charles Technologies, and atg Luther & Maelzer will henceforth operate under the Xcerra Corp. banner, it was announced today. The Xcerra brand brings together the four semiconductor and PCB test entities—offering handling, contacting, and measurement capabilities.

Xcerra serves a larger portion of the electronics supply chain than any of the four brands did on its own, the newly named corporation reported. The new brand will allow for comprehensive insights into market trends and drivers, with Xcerra in a position to develop innovative products and integrated solutions that will increase efficiency, accelerate time to high-volume production, and reduce costs.

Based on the global presence of the combined businesses, Xcerra said it will excel in customer support, providing the fastest response in the industry.

The Xcerra leadership team leverages the expertise of the executives from the combined businesses and is headed by president and CEO Dave Tacelli from LTX-Credence.

Xcerra will be the umbrella company for the operating businesses. The established contacts and legal business partners will not change.

Although Xcerra will develop integrated test solutions, the brands under the Xcerra umbrella continue to provide standalone products for target markets. Customers will continue to receive the same level support—whether they decide for a single product or a fully integrated solution.
