October 1, 2014. Teledyne LeCroy today introduced the WaveSurfer 3074, extending the bandwidth range of the WaveSurfer 3000 series of oscilloscopes to 750 MHz. WaveSurfer 3000 oscilloscopes feature the MAUI advanced user interface, previously available only on higher-end oscilloscopes. This advanced user interface seamlessly integrates a deep measurement toolset and multi-instrument capabilities into a cutting edge user experience centered on a large 10.1” touch screen.
Starting at 200 MHz and now reaching 750 MHz, the WaveSurfer 3000 oscilloscopes boast 10-Mpoints/channel memory and up to 4-GS/s sample rate. Beyond traditional oscilloscope functionality, the WaveSurfer 3000 has a variety of multi-instrument capabilities including waveform generation with a built in function generator, protocol analysis with serial data trigger and decode, and logic analysis with an available 16 channel mixed signal option.
“The recently introduced WaveSurfer 3000 has been extremely well received. The combination of performance, multi-instrument capabilities, MAUI user interface, and price resonates well with our users and they have asked for more bandwidth,” said Chris Busso, Teledyne LeCroy senior product manager. “The introduction of the 750 MHz model provides that extra bandwidth but maintains the high performance, low price model we established with WaveSurfer 3000 at the initial introduction.”
Combining a fast waveform update rate of 130,000 waveforms/second with History mode waveform playback and WaveScan search and find, the WaveSurfer 3000 is is suitable for waveform anomaly detection. The advanced active probe interface gives flexibility for measuring high voltages, high frequencies, currents, or differential signals. The toolset with math and measurement capabilities, sequence mode segmented memory, and LabNotebook ensure that problems can be debugged, analyzed and documented for a faster solution.
The WaveSurfer 3074 is immediately available with a US list price of $8,500.
