KOA Speer introduces wide-terminal surge-current flat-chip resistor

Aug. 3, 2018

Bradford, PA. KOA Speer Electronics has announced its new WG73 wide-terminal type surge-current flat-chip resistor available in a 1020 package with a 1-W power rating. The WG73 resistor is superior to KOA’s WK73 Series in pulse withstanding voltage. The anti-surge WG73 features a TCR of ±100 ppm/°C, a resistance range of 560 mΩ to 1 kΩ, standard tolerances of ±10% and ±20%, and an operating temperature range of -55°C to +155°C.

The WG73 chip resistor is designed with wide side electrodes that provide better heat dissipation and smaller size compared with other standard chip resistors. This wide terminal resistor is designed for high accuracy and current detection, making it suitable for automotive, telecommunications, and consumer-electronic markets, in applications such as power supplies, DC/ DC converters and AC adapters, automotive ECUs, and motor circuits. The WG73 is AEC-Q200 qualified.
