For routine checking of industrial machinery and for general-purpose field use, Model VM-300 handheld vibration meter is fully portable in a 7.5" x 4" x 2" plastic case with detachable probe and padded carrying case. Operation is from a precision piezoelectric accelerometer and an integrated charge amplifier, managed by a microcontroller. The meter includes a low-voltage lockout circuit that prevents false readings during low-battery conditions. An automatic time-out function prevents the instrument from draining the battery when unattended. For situations requiring archiving and or hard copy documentation, an optional printer is available.
