A general-purpose laboratory instrument, the Model 4601 is a charge amplifier for signal conditioning piezoelectric accelerometers and pressure transducers. The instrument has a calibrated transducer sensitivity control for matching its gain to the transducer’s calibrated sensitivity. Specifications include 10 Vp-p full-scale output with more than 20 Vp-p output before clipping, and maximum sensitivity of 500 mV/pC. The instrument has dual outputs (fixed and adjustable), a built-in meter and overload indicator. Frequency response is flat from 2 Hz to 20 kHz, and residual noise is less than 0.01 pC rms over the full bandwidth with a 1,000 pC source capacitance.
