The Model 3500, claimed as the first lab-quality, handheld RF power meter on the market, promises the accuracy of a benchtop RF power meter with the convenience of a portable instrument while maintaining an attractive price tag. With a wide frequency range of 10 MHz to 6 GHz, the instrument supports a variety of applications including mobile phones and cellular infrastructures, WLAN, RFID, WiMax, and wireless sensors. It specifies a dynamic range from –63 dBm to +20 dBm and integrates a power sensor and an internal power reference for self-calibration. Other features include an absolute accuracy in the realm of ±0.21 dB, data-logging capabilities, and a USB interface. A number of accessories, i.e., belt-loop holster, are available. Price is $1,500.
