Superior Sensor Technology Pressure-Sensor Eval Kit
A new evaluation kit for Superior Sensor Technology’s VN Series Pressure Sensors is an all-in-one platform that allows you to evaluate different types of pressure needed in medical ventilators and high-flow oxygen devices.
The kit supports a wide range of applications and includes every sensor required for all pressure-sensor sockets in a ventilator, including the VN Series exclusive extreme resolution sensors used for low-and high-pressure flow measurements. It measures low- and high-pressure flow, as well as inlet, inspiratory, expiratory, and barometric pressures.
With its 24-bit output resolution at an update rate faster than 1 ms, it helps improve patient breathing synchrony with high levels of accuracy and responsiveness, according to the company. Rather than have specialized ventilators for different patients, such as newborns and adults, manufacturers can design one ventilator to support all patients.
The sensors use the company’s Multi-Range technology,which allows them to support a wide-dynamic range without fine tuning or additional calibration. In addition, the sensors have optional integrated capabilities, like advanced digital filtering and a three-mode pressure switch. Because each sensor in the VN series is identical and pin-compatible with the rest of the series, manufacturers can easily change VN Series sensors for different applications.
