The latest pulse power sensors from Rohde & Schwarz are targeted for radar applications.

Check out our electronica 2022 coverage.

New pulse power sensors developed by Rohde & Schwarz are well-suited for radar applications. The pulse characteristics and output power of radar products have to be measured in the development process or during installation and maintenance. Similar measurements are required in the production of radar systems and radar components.

A maximum video bandwidth of 30 MHz and a rise/fall time of less than 13 ns mean the sensors can measure pulse widths that are as short as 50 ns. Key pulse parameters, which are determined automatically for simpler measurements, help prevent operating errors. By increasing the sampling rate, the high-resolution mode for repetitive signals can display strongly magnified signal sections.
