Keysight Technologies launched the E36731A Battery Emulator and Profiler, an emulation solution that identifies the impact of variables affecting the battery drain of IoT devices, arming development engineers with the information they need to improve device designs.

The battery emulator and profiler addresses the battery-testing demands of IoT device designers by giving them an integrated electronic load and power supply that can be used to emulate battery performance. Along with the company's PathWave BenchVue Advanced Battery Test and Emulation Software, it provides a complete solution to generate battery profiles, with better accuracy compared to using generic manufacturer models

Furthermore, the platform allows development engineers to instantly transition a battery's charge state and gain real-time insight into current drain. The solution provides power up to 200 W at 30 V and 20 A, and offers a wide dynamic measurement range from microamps to amps.
