Volume production is underway for Greenliant Systems’ mSATA ArmourDrive solid-state drives (SSDs).

Volume production is underway for Greenliant Systems’ mSATA ArmourDrive solid-state drives (SSDs). The GLS86 series come with 8-, 16-, 32-, and 64-Gbyte, 2-bit-per-cell (MLC) NAND flash memory for industrial-temperature SSDs. Operating temperature ranges from ‒40 to +85°C, suiting them for industrial, networking, and computing systems. For high-endurance, long-life SSDs, the series also offers 1-bit-per-cell (SLC) NAND in 8-, 16-, and 32-Gbyte capacities. The GLS86 drives, measuring 29.85 by 50.80 by 4.85 mm, are based on ball-grid-array (BGA) form-factor SATA NANDrive (GLS85LS series) SSDs, which use the company’s NAND flash-memory controller. Built-in dedicated power-failure detection and backup power circuitry prevent data-integrity issues due to sudden power interruptions. Applications include factory automation, flight data recorders, portable video surveillance, servers, and telemetry.
