Panasonic announces two high safety and high energy density cells, the CR-AG and CR-2/3AZ. The cells use Manganese-based cathode material to deliver better temperature tolerance than other battery technologies, so they may operate in harsh environments. Both are suitable for AMR (Automatic Meter Reading), fire alarms, and security sensors.

Features include:

  • High current pulse discharge capability
  • Superior long-term reliability
  • High safety and energy density
  • Wide operating temperature (-40° to 70° C)
