Line Amplifiers Optimized For 1.2 GHz DOCSIS 3.1 Systems

Oct. 29, 2013
12 V and 24 V line amplifiers extend frequencies to 1.2 GHz with exceptional linearity and output power, enabling CATV service providers to increase system bandwidth in support of DOCSIS 3.1.

Expanding their family of surface mount line amplifiers, ANADIGICS’ has added both 12 V and 24 V versions that deliver exceptional linearity and output power, enabling CATV service providers to increase system bandwidth in support of DOCSIS 3.1. By extending frequencies to 1.2 GHz, DOCSIS 3.1 enables higher data speeds as well as additional HDTV and video on demand services. The ACA1210, ACA1212, ACA1216, ACA2431, ACA2449, and ACA2461 line amplifiers join the previously launched ACA2429 GaN power doubler in providing high signal fidelity over extended frequencies up to 1.2 GHz, enabling advanced data, video and voice services. The DOCSIS 3.1 line amplifier family leverages ANADIGICS’ high linearity GaAs MESFET process for maximizing up time, along with GaN HEMT technology for high output power and optimum power efficiency, and offers outstanding bit error rate (BER), composite triple beat (CTB), composite second order (CSO), cross modulation and carrier-to-intermodulation noise (CIN) characteristics for optimal performance in a fully-loaded spectrum.
