Leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) in industrial and commercial applications can help increase production and efficiency, understand and improve processes, and even predict faults in processes before downtime occurs. We talk to Ross Sabolcik, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Industrial and Commercial IoT Products at Silicon Labs, about his thoughts on the industry.

He also discusses the company's home initiative, Matter, intended to drive convergence in Smart Home IoT ecosystems for one wireless protocol to connect all IoT devices and networks in homes.
