Employing the company's laser navigation sensor technology, three versions of what are said to be the industry's first laser-based optical mouse sensors are available: one for cordless mice (ADNS-6030), one for corded mice (ADNS-6000), and a version optimized for gaming (ADNS-6010). The sensors reveal trackable surface structures and can track on painted metal, polished wood-grain, glossy photo paper, translucent plastic, frosted glass, and other challenging surfaces. Features include resolutions up to 2,000 counts per inch, maximum velocities up to 45" per second, accelerations of up to 20g, and adjustable frame rates in excess of 7,000 fps. The LaserStream technology is available as separate components or in bundles that include the sensor, a VCSEL, round or rectangular lens, and a VCSEL assembly clip. Each relies on an ADNV-6330 842-nm VCSEL. Prices for the ADNS-6030, ADNB-600X, and ADNB-601X are less than $5, $6, and $7 each, respectively, in high volumes.
