Designed to assure compliance with shielding, ESD, grounding, and packaging requirements, this line of gaskets for card-cage and backplane installations is said to feature superior shielding effectiveness, low-force insertion and removal, and snag-free card installation. Some styles have center ribs that serve as guides to prevent card damage. The gaskets can be electrically conductive elastomers that are extruded, die-cut, formed-in-place, and printed. Or they also can be fabricated from beryllium-copper, stainless-steel, and conductive fabric over die-cut shapes.
