Built to withstand the abuse that occurs in applications such as mass transportation, factory automation, and oil and petrochemical exploration, the four-position SPEC Pak power connector can be used anywhere a rugged or waterproof high-power, signal and ground interconnect solution is required. The four-position SPEC Pak (Sealed Power for Environmental Connections) has environmentally-sealed IP67 shells which protect the connectors’ Powerpole housings and contacts from contaminants. The core technology protected within the SPEC Pak shell is the company’s Powerpole connectors. The broad selection of standard and finger-proof (meet UL1977, Section10.2), color-coded housings offer versatility for power, signal and ground design flexibility. The four-position SPEC Pak shells will handle up to 25 A when fully loaded with #10 AWG wire. These housings and contacts accommodate wire gauges #24 to #10 AWG (0.25 to 4 mm²) and provide users with thousands of possible design combinations in a single interconnect. The SPEC Pak receptacle utilizes an industry-standard panel cut-out which is the same as is used for 26482- and 5015-type receptacle shells (size 20).
