A new safety interlock switch has been designed with guard door locking. Utilizing a total of four contacts, the TL4019 monitors safety, door position and the lock itself. The switch has a locking force of 1,200N to ensure the guard door stays locked shut until the machine is safe to enter. Sporting a narrow profile, the switch can be mounted on 2" square tubing or in space-restricted applications. Rugged NEMA 6 glass-filled polyester housing allows the switch to withstand water washdown cleaning. When used with a stainless steel actuator, the switch claims a minimum of one million actuations. A rotatable head provides eight possible actuator positions for versatile installation. An optional heavy-duty slide bolt with integral door handle makes integration easy on machine guards. The slide-bolt permits the attachment of multiple padlocks. The TL4019 conforms to all European safety standards and is UL, c-UL and CE listed. SCIENTIFIC TECHNOLOGIES INC., Fremont, CA.
