Said to be suitable for most wireless applications, a new surface-mount oscillator, the Model XO3080, is designed to provide a frequency bandwidth of 10 to 100 MHz. The timing device is said to offer excellent aging performance, is available in either a voltage-controlled (VCXO) or a temperature-controlled (TCXO) version, and comes mounted in a 0.98" x 0.69" x 0.22" surface-mount technology (SMT) reflow package; a version for through-hole mounting also is available. The XO3080 oscillator operates over a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C with an average stability of ±0.75 ppm. Output is a sinewave at 1.5Vp-p into a 1-kiloohm load. A version with a CMOS logic output also is available.Other features include 5 vdc, 2 mA operation and a SSB phase noise of between -90 dBc and +150 dBc with a 10-kHz carrier.
