A new ultra-miniature self-contained inductive analog sensor has been designed with increased installation flexibility for precision gauging and measuring applications. This sensor achieves highly precise measurement and linear output of distance measurements with accuracy to 1 micron. For smaller operating environments, a short-bodied tubular 6.5 mm sensor measuring 40 mm in length has the same range and repeatability of the long body tubular sensor. Measuring range is 2 mm, with repeatability of 0.001 mm. Voltage outputs range from 0 to 10 Vdc or 0 to 10 mA. Supply voltage ranges from 15 to 30 Vdc. Easily integrated into control systems, this sensor can detect any metal target and is useful for distance/level measurement applications. It is insensitive to harsh industrial environments containing dirt, humidity, dust and oil, and is IP 67 protected. BAUMER ELECTRIC LTD., Southington, CT. (800) 937-9336.
