Dramatic increases in storage capacity compared with industry-standard enclosures are said to be obtained with the FORTRA JBOD 19" rackmount enclosure, designed for Ultra Wide and Ultra 2 SCSI and able to accommodate up to ten 3.5" HH or 3.5" LP drives in two device channels within the rackmount. The FORTRA version includes automatic SCSI SE/LVD termination, N+1, 450W PFC hot-swap power supplies, hot-swap high-pressure blowers, hot-swap canisters and rails for cabinet mounting. The remaining family of FORTRA enclosures, which include 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 20-bay desktop and tower designs, also include Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop versions, suited for high capacity storage subsystems.
