The D8M pressure sensor is designed to accurately detect extremely small increments of pressure differential, in the realm of hundredths of 1 psi. Five models of the sensor offer a choice of operating pressure ranges to fit specific needs and a choice of analog, pulse, and frequency outputs. The component measures 30 mm x 30 mm x 12.4 mm and is available in a chemical-resistant plastic PBT body with an IP40 enclosure rating for embedded applications. A metal-shielded version is also available. Target markets include medical applications where accurate measurement of variations in the flow of gases such as oxygen or nitrous oxide are required and in blood-pressure monitors.
